Despacito by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee became the song that was streamed the most in less than six months. A mix between Reggaeton and pop was released in the year 2017 by the Puerto Rican musician Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. It was the top-streamed song at the time within 6 months. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs mostly of Spanish languages, while the year 2016 saw four. But during the peak of the Despacito's popularity in 2017, there were 19 predominantly Spanish tracks which made it into the Top 100. In 2020, it was 41. In the wake of Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in 2017, famous artists started to work with reggaeton artists. Drake and Bad Bunny were part of a team on MIA (2018), while Madonna teamed up with Maluma on Medellin, 2019 A few performers of reggaeton lamented the trend towards popular music by 2020. A new band, Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the development and growth of reggaeton. The incorporation of elements from electronic dance music, and other styles was a common procedure.
